Tri Care LLC seeks a Recreation Therapy Leader to design and lead activity programs for residents. You will craft individual and group activity plans, invite participation, and integrate the Therapeutic Recreation plan into the overall care plan.

The role requires high energy, compassion, and creativity. Responsibilities include documentation, quarterly plan reviews, supply planning, and maintaining a safe, engaging activity environment.

Formación

• High School graduate (required).
• Associates degree preferred.
• Multilingual including Spanish preferred.
• Specialized training in related field.
• Background in Recreation (Therapeutic Concentration preferred).
• Desire to work with elderly with understanding of their social, emotional, physical and cognitive needs.
• Ability to plan, organize, and implement goal-driven programs based on individual interests.
• Must have patience, tact, cheerfulness and enthusiasm.

Responsabilidades

• Develop written plans for individual, group and independent activities for residents.
• Invite and encourage residents to participate in daily programs per therapy schedule.
• Incorporate Therapeutic Recreation plan into the resident care plan.
• Review participation quarterly or as needed and revise plan.
• Keep daily attendance and document participation.
• Implement assigned programs for residents.
• Plan, organize and implement diverse leisure activities.
• Provide supplies and plans for group implementation to the Director of TR.
• Maintain resident participation by stimulating conversation.
• Complete Activity Assessments, progress notes and care plans for assigned caseload.
• Ensure program area is clean and orderly before/after sessions.
• Attend in-service programs, staff meetings and care planning meetings.
• Be flexible with holidays, weekends, evenings.
• Adhere to ethics and confidentiality (PHI).
• Maintain safe environment for residents.
• Perform other duties as requested by Supervisor.
