Apple Rehab West Haven seeks a Therapeutic Recreation Director to plan, supervise, and deliver resident-focused therapeutic recreation services in compliance with state and federal standards.

The role requires leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple activities, volunteers and programs while maintaining a resident-centered approach and a positive, customer-focused attitude.

Qualifications

• Must meet Therapeutic Recreation Director requirements per Public Health Code.
• At least 1 year experience in rehabilitative or geriatric settings.
• Must have a vehicle, valid driver’s license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plan, control and execute therapeutic recreation services for all residents in line with standards.
• Develop and supervise a full range of programs and activities, respecting residents’ physical and emotional needs.
• Ensure observance of religious days, holidays, and celebrations in the residents’ calendar.
