Qualifications

• Must meet requirements of Therapeutic Recreation Director as stated in the Public Health Code.
• Must possess at least one year experience in rehabilitative or geriatric setting.
• Must have a vehicle and a valid drivers’ license and a safe driving record.

Responsibilities

• Plans, controls and executes the provision of therapeutic recreational services for all residents.
• Develops a full range of programs and activities considering residents’ physical and emotional needs.
• Ensures observance of religious days, holidays and celebrations in planning activities calendar.
• Maintains Residents’ Bill of Rights and handles resident grievances and care plan issues.
• Provides leadership and supervises staff to deliver high-quality recreation programs.
