Job summary

Apple Rehab Farmington Valley is seeking a Recreation Assistant to help develop and carry out therapeutic recreational programs for residents in a 140-bed skilled nursing setting. You will work with the Therapeutic Recreation Director to deliver a high-quality recreation program and ensure activities respect each resident’s rights, privacy, and dignity.

Qualifications

• Must have a vehicle and a valid driver's license.
• Ability to provide rotating weekend coverage.
• Prefer at least one year of experience in rehabilitative or geriatric settings.

• Assist in developing and executing therapeutic recreational services for residents.
• Support development of a full range of programs and activities aligned with residents' interests and abilities.
• Ensure activities observe Residents' Bill of Rights and maintain resident dignity and safety.
