Job summary

Excel at Woodbury for Rehabilitation & Nursing is seeking Per diem Therapeutic Recreation Aides to support resident engagement and activity programs.

You will plan and supervise recreational activities, collaborate with the care team, and adapt programs to residents' needs. Evening, weekend and holiday shifts may be required.

Ideal candidates enjoy working with seniors, bring creativity in art or music, and excel at teamwork in a geriatric setting.

Job description

Excel at Woodbury is hiring for Per diem Therapeutic Recreation Aides.

• Must be reliable, fun and engaging for Resident activities.
• Must have Long term care experience.
• Must be upbeat, energetic and have a caring personality.
• Must be reliable
• Must work as a team player
• Musical/ Artistic talent is a plus

*Preferred two years’ experience in recreation in a geriatric setting, ability to work effectively as a team member

Requirements:

• A high school diploma and certain certifications may be required.
• More education or experience with nursing homes, short-term rehabilitation, recreational activities, event planning, or related may be preferred.
• Physical fitness's, ability to walk, dance, stand, lift, or meet other physical demands.
• Adaptability and strong organization and time management skills.
• Excellent resource management and record-keeping
• Patience and compassion when dealing with others, especially those who are sick, injured, elderly, or from different backgrounds.
• Flexibility to work when needed, especially some evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to adhere to and enforce all safety policies and procedures.

Job Type: Per diem

Schedule: M-F 9:00AM-5:00PM or 12:00PM-8:00PM, Weekends as needed

Salary: $25.63/hr
