Sutton Park Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation is hiring a Per diem Recreation Aide to support resident engagement and activity programs. The role requires an upbeat, energetic, and caring personality, with the ability to supervise events and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities include creating engaging programs, coordinating activities, and maintaining safety and documentation. Some evenings, weekends, and holidays may be required. Salary is $22.03 per hour.

Qualifications

• Per diem role for recreation aide in a nursing and rehabilitation center.
• Must have high school diploma; additional certifications may be required.
• Experience in geriatric recreation preferred; teamwork essential.

• Dependable, Reliable and able to supervise activities, special events for the Residents
• Creative talents in one or more areas such as art, music, readings, dance, etc
• Demonstrates good listening and communication skills and follow through.

*Preferred two years’ experience in recreation in a geriatric setting, ability to work effectively as a team member

Requirements:

• A high school diploma and certain certifications may be required.
• More education or experience with nursing homes, short-term rehabilitation, recreational activities, event planning, or related may be preferred.
• Physical fitness's, ability to walk, dance, stand, lift, or meet other physical demands.
• Adaptability and strong organization and time management skills.
• Excellent resource management and record-keeping
• Patience and compassion when dealing with others, especially those who are sick, injured, elderly, or from different backgrounds.
• Flexibility to work when needed, especially some evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Willingness to adhere to and enforce all safety policies and procedures.

Job Type: Per Diem

Salary: $22.03 per hour

Schedule: Coverage as needed
