Merakey is seeking a Psychiatric Technician II for our Beaver Falls, PA location to ensure safety and well‑being of residents in the Residential Program, focusing on therapy and personal development.

The role involves leading psycho-educational groups, building life skills, accurate documentation, crisis intervention, and contributing to a therapeutic environment with room for advancement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related human service field required.
• Minimum one year experience in a related field with knowledge and understanding of severe mental illness and recovery principles.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• All Clearances required by OMHSAS.

Responsibilities

• Lead psycho-educational groups to foster peer interaction, problem-solving, and treatment goal achievement.
• Assist residents in building life skills for independent living.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow all reporting requirements.
• Support residents with household tasks and teach essential daily living skills (e.g., hygiene, time management).
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary.
• Contribute to a therapeutic environment that encourages personal growth, with opportunities for advancement within the program.
