Merakey is recruiting a Psychiatric Technician II for its Beaver Falls, PA program to help ensure resident safety and support therapy and personal development. The role focuses on leading psycho-educational groups, boosting life skills, and maintaining thorough documentation, with opportunities for advancement within the program.

The ideal candidate will have a psychology-related degree, at least one year in a related field, a valid driver's license, and OMHSAS clearances.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related human service field required.
• Minimum one year experience in a related field, knowledge and understanding of severe mental illness, recovery principles and recovery driven service system required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• All Clearances required by OMHSAS.

Responsibilities

• Lead psycho-educational groups to foster peer interaction, problem-solving, and treatment goal achievement.
• Assist residents in building life skills for independent living.
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow all reporting requirements.
• Support residents with household tasks and teach essential daily living skills (e.g., hygiene, time management).
• Provide crisis intervention when necessary.
• Contribute to a therapeutic environment that encourages personal growth, with opportunities for advancement within the program.
