Job summary

Behavioral Health Network (BHN) is seeking a Therapeutic Training & Support Worker to join our In-Home Therapy team serving children, adolescents, and families in Western Massachusetts. You will deliver home- and community-based services, support skill-building, and coordinate care with therapists and schools.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s or Bachelor’s in a Human Services field, 1 year of experience, strong communication, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services-related field is required.
  • At least 1 year of human services experience is required (2 years if Associate’s level).
  • Knowledge of mental illness, behavioral modification, and coping techniques.
  • Experience providing parenting education and working with children and families is required.
  • Familiarity with child-serving systems and community resources.
  • Demonstrates cultural competence and ability to work with diverse populations.
  • Strong written, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver therapeutic training and support services in home, school, and community.
  • Support youth and families in practicing skills learned in therapy sessions.
  • Assist with care coordination by collaborating with therapists, schools, and community providers.
  • Help families access resources, services, and supports.
  • Provide psychoeducation to caregivers on behavioral health diagnoses and coping skills.
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation including progress notes and treatment plans.
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and treatment planning.

Pay: $21.50 - $23 per hour

What You’ll Do

As a Therapeutic Training & Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, community-based services to children, adolescents, and transitional age youth with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED) and their families. You’ll assist families in strengthening skills, promoting stability, and coordinating care across providers.

  • Deliver therapeutic training and support services in the home, school, and community
  • Support youth and families in practicing skills learned in therapy sessions
  • Assist with care coordination by collaborating with therapists, schools, and community providers
  • Help families build connections to resources, services, and supports
  • Provide psychoeducation to caregivers on behavioral health diagnoses, coping skills, and family dynamics
  • Ensure timely and accurate documentation including progress notes and treatment plans
  • Participate in team meetings, supervision, and treatment planning
Who You Are
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services-related field required
  • At least 1 year of human services experience required (2 years if Associate’s level)
  • Knowledge of mental illness diagnoses, behavioral modification, and coping techniques
  • Experience providing parenting education and working with children and families required
  • Familiarity with child-serving systems and community resources
