Job summary

Behavioral Health Network, Inc. in the greater Springfield area is seeking a Therapeutic Mentor to support youth and families in the community.

The role focuses on structured one-on-one work to reinforce treatment goals and stabilize children's lives at home, school, and in the community. Responsibilities include teaching social and coping skills, coaching behavior change, coordinating with clinicians and schools, and documenting progress.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 2 years of experience working with children; SE Dis. experience preferred.
• Knowledge of behavioral health, coping strategies, and child/adolescent development.
• Strong communication, coaching, and mentoring skills.
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable vehicle required.
• Comfortable with word processing, email, and documentation systems.

Responsibilities

• Work individually with youth to teach and model social, coping, and problem-solving skills.
• Provide coaching and guidance to encourage positive behavior change and personal growth.
• Collaborate with clinicians, caregivers, schools, and community partners as part of a team-based care model.
• Support youth in developing independent living skills and self-confidence.
• Help families navigate behavioral health systems and access resources.
• Document services and progress in a clear and timely manner.
• Participate in supervision, treatment planning, and ongoing training.

Pay: $21.50 - $22.50 per hour

What You'll Do

Who You Are

• High School Diploma, Associate's, or Bachelor's degree required
• At least 2 years of experience working with children required; experience with Serious Emotional Disturbance strongly preferred
• Knowledge of behavioral health, coping strategies, and child/adolescent development
• Strong communication, coaching, and mentoring skills
• Familiarity with community resources and child-serving systems
• Interest in helping others and ability to create strategies that support goal achievement
• Valid Massachusetts driver's license and reliable vehicle required
• Comfortable with word processing, email, and documentation systems
