Job summary

The Emily Program seeks a part-time Culinary Assistant to support meal preparation for clients in Minnesota. Follow site menus and recipes, maintain kitchen and storage spaces, and ensure sanitation and safety standards are met.

Shifts are Tue, Fri & Sat 11:00 am–7:30 pm with starting pay of $18.00–$22.00 per hour. Reliability, HIPAA adherence, and commitment to supportive recovery care are essential.

Qualifications

• Culinary experience in a healthcare, hospital or mental health setting preferred.
• Catering experience preferred.
• Experience working with vulnerable populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with meal preparation, plating, portioning or clean-up as assigned by Culinary Manager.
• Assist Culinary Manager/Lead and Cooks with food preparation tasks such as chopping, peeling, washing as directed.
• Assist other kitchen staff with dating, labeling and stocking as requested.
• Ensure all kitchen surfaces, dining and catering areas, and equipment are clean and sanitized.
• Wash dishes and maintain area cleanliness to meet safety, sanitation and regulatory requirements.
• Sweep, mop, and sanitize floors daily.
• Maintain order in the dish room, kitchen and dining areas.
• Ensure attendance and punctuality for assigned shifts to support patient care.
