Job summary

T.C. Harris School & Academy, a MyPath Company, seeks a dependable Kitchen Assistant to support meal prep and door-to-service in a therapeutic setting. The role emphasizes cleanliness, safety, and adherence to nutritional guidelines, with weekend and holiday flexibility.

You will work closely with the Health Services/Dietary team to ensure meals are prepared and served safely, while maintaining orderly kitchen operations and supporting overall program needs.

Qualifications

• Experience operating kitchen equipment (including dishwasher), food preparation, serving and using industrial cleaners preferred.
• Ability to follow safety and hygiene guidelines in a health services setting.
• Willingness to work extended hours as needed and adapt to schedule changes.

Responsibilities

• Food preparation and kitchen support, assist cooks and serve meals.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen, dining areas, storeroom, freezer, and cooler.
• Follow safety protocols, report equipment issues, and manage waste per guidelines.
• Participate in staff meetings, communicate effectively, and support supervisors.
