Arbors at Minerva is seeking a Dietary Cook to prepare meals for residents and staff, adhering to therapeutic diet plans and safety standards. You will review menus, portion foods, and ensure appealing presentation and proper temperatures in a healthcare setting.

The role requires attention to detail, basic nutrition knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members. Prior large-quantity cooking and ServSafe–type certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Six months’ experience in large quantity food preparation.
• Experience with therapeutic diet preparation preferred.
• ServSafe or other food safety certification preferred.
• Minimum of tenth grade or above (high school diploma preferred).

Responsibilities

• Review menus prior to preparation of food.
• Prepare food for regular and therapeutic diets per planned menu.
• Prepare alternative items to meet residents’ needs and preferences.
• Handle food using proper safety techniques and sanitation.
• Ensure foods are served at appropriate temperature and in an attractive manner.
• Maintain menus in accordance with policies and procedures.
