Job summary

Touchpoints at Bloomfield is seeking a Cook to join their kitchen team. The Cook will prepare hot and cold foods for facility residents at scheduled meal times, following sanitation procedures and therapeutic diets.

Responsibilities include preparing meals, maintaining schedules, ensuring food safety, and following facility policies; staff are expected to work as a supportive team member and handle difficult residents with patience and a cheerful approach.

Qualifications

• Ability to prepare large portions of meals.
• Proficient in English (speaking, reading, and writing).
• Supportive team member with positive teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Prepares hot and cold foods, meals and beverages including modified textures for restricted and therapeutic diets.
• Maintains and follows all meal schedules.
• Ensures all food items are handled properly to ensure safety and sanitation standards.
• Properly stores, covers, and refrigerates necessary items; cooks to the latest FDA Food Code temperatures.
• Performs tasks in accordance with facility policies and procedures and as instructed by Department Head.
• Complies with local, state and federal regulations and acts as mandatory reporter of resident incidents.
