Job summary

Brown County in Wisconsin seeks a Part-time Food Service Aide to support diet card maintenance, food preparation, dishwashing, serving, and related tasks in our clinical or residential settings.

You will assist with portioning, temperature control, adhering to menus and therapeutic diets under the Dietitian's direction, prepare trays, stock storerooms, and help train new staff. High school diploma or equivalent and ServSafe preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or in progress.
• Customer service skills and ability to work with residents.
• Familiarity with food handling safety and sanitation.
• Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and follow resident diet cards as directed.
• Assist in portioning meats, fish, poultry, vegetables, desserts, and nourishments.
• Dishes up food for tray line and serves according to portions and menu.
• Maintain proper temperature and handling of hot and cold foods.
• Clean and sanitize equipment, dining areas, and storerooms.
• Receive deliveries and stock shelves.
• Assist with training of new staff.
