Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Minnesota is seeking an RN for the Apheresis unit. The role encompasses direct patient care, education, and transitions of care in a hospital outpatient setting. It supports stem cell transplants, CAR-T therapy, and chronic disease management.

The RN will lead nursing practice within the Mayo Clinic Nursing Professional Practice Model, with opportunities for leadership, mentoring, and involvement in quality improvement. Flexibility for weekends and on-call is required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program, as recognized by ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA.
• 1 year RN experience required.
• RN license by applicable state requirements.
• BLS must be valid for 90 days post start date; acceptable certifications include AHA/Heartcode BLS, Military Training Network, Red Cross CPR/AED.

Responsibilities

• The RN coordinates nursing care, including direct patient care, education and transitions of care.
• Provides leadership through preceptor roles and quality improvement efforts.
• Delivers patient assessment and critical thinking; communicates effectively; supports team environment.
• May drive personal vehicle as part of the role.
