Job summary

Bunker Hill Community College seeks an Adjunct Instructor of Theatre to teach THR 142: Voice & Speech for Spring 2027, Thursday 10:00am–12:45pm. This role supports students in developing vocal techniques for performance and character work.

The successful applicant will hold an MA or MFA in Theatre or related field with professional performance experience and will contribute to a diverse academic environment through effective mentorship and strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• MA or MFA in Theatre or related field, plus professional performance experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to teach and mentor students in a diverse and collaborative academic environment.
• Demonstrated training or certification in a recognized vocal pedagogy.
• Professional theatre vocal coaching experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging and comprehensive instruction in voice and speech for the actor, emphasizing vocal production and expressive communication.
• Lead studio-based vocal training that develops vocal strength, flexibility, clarity, breath control, and clarity.
• Support students in integrating vocal and speech techniques into acting, character development, and performance projects.
