Bunker Hill Community College is seeking an Adjunct Theatre Instructor to teach THR 142 Voice & Speech (3 credits) for Spring 2027. The 1000am–1245pm Thursday section requires strong vocal technique and performer-centered coaching.

The instructor will guide students through vocal production, alignment, breath control, and expressive communication, with assessments including reflective journaling and presentations.

Qualifications

• MA or MFA in Theatre or related field with professional performance experience.
• Strong organizational and communication skills; ability to mentor diverse students.
• Expertise in actor movement pedagogies (Viewpoints, Laban, Suzuki, Lecoq) or stage combat.

Responsabilités

• Deliver engaging instruction in voice and speech for the actor, emphasizing vocal production and expressive communication.
• Lead studio-based vocal training that develops vocal strength, flexibility, clarity, breath control and expressiveness.
• Support students in integrating vocal and speech techniques into acting and performance projects.
