Job summary

Bunker Hill Community College is seeking an Adjunct Instructor of Theatre to teach THR 142: Voice & Speech in Spring 2027, Thursday 10:00am–12:45pm, 3 credits. The successful candidate will help students develop vocal techniques for performance and character work.

Requirements include an MA or MFA in Theatre or related field with professional performance experience, plus strong organizational and communication skills.

Qualifications

• MA or MFA in Theatre or related field.
• Professional performance experience required.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to teach and mentor students in a diverse setting.
• Expertise in actor movement pedagogies (Viewpoints, Laban, Suzuki, Lecoq, stage combat) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging instruction in voice and speech for the actor.
• Lead studio-based vocal training developing vocal strength, flexibility and breath control.
• Support students in applying vocal techniques to acting projects.
• Demonstrated ability to teach in a diverse academic environment.
