Job summary

The City of Eugene seeks a Technical and Facility Director to lead all technical theater operations at the Hult Center for the Performing Arts. You will supervise the theater staff and Facilities Manager, manage the facilities budget, and coordinate capital projects with City departments to ensure safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include estimating labor and equipment needs, preparing bid specs, and overseeing scheduling, maintenance, and event support for performances and rentals.

Qualifications

• Five years of professional experience developing, implementing, and managing programs related to technical theater production, including two years in a full supervisory role.
• Two years’ experience in management of facility and/or maintenance operations is preferable.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prioritizes, assigns, supervises and reviews the work of staff and temporary workers involved in the operation and maintenance of the theater and theatrical equipment, including supervising the Facilities Manager.
• Evaluates operations; recommends improvements; supports long-range facility and equipment operations planning.
• Reviews capital and maintenance work related to stage and facility operations; directs maintenance and repair execution.
• Coordinates with the City of Eugene Facilities Department and oversees facility capital projects to ensure code compliance.
