Theatre Major, L.L.C. is seeking a COACH to join our college counseling and audition coaching team.

You will conduct 1:1 coaching sessions with students to prepare them for college auditions, from monologue prep to prescreens and callbacks, and you will work with the Education Manager and Lead Coach to track progress toward each student’s goals. This part-time hourly role offers Work-From-Home with occasional in-person events that may require travel.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Master’s level degree in acting, dance, vocal performance, or equivalent professional experience.
• Must have at least 10 coaching hours available a week between 10am and 8p ET for scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 1:1 coaching sessions with assigned student roster.
• Maintain a student roster of clients up to 8 students throughout their college audition process.
• Track student progress with notes and homework after every session.
• Share progress with Lead Coach and Education Manager through detailed notes after each session.
• Attend monthly team meetings and collaborate with Artistic leadership to track student progress.
• Promptly answer emails from clients and leadership and update availability in the portal.

Theatre Major LLC seeks a COACH to join our fast growing college counseling and college audition coaching team. You will conduct 1:1 coaching sessions with students to prepare them for their college auditions from monologue prep to prescreens and callbacks. You will work with the Education Manager and Lead Coach to track student progress toward their personal goals.

Description

Responsibilities

• Conduct 1:1 coaching sessions with assigned student roster.
• Maintain a student roster of clients up to 8 students through the entirety of their college audition process
• Track student progress through constructive notes and "homework" after every session.
• Share students progress with Lead Coach and Education Manager by keeping detailed notes shared after each session
• Teach semi private group technique classes; if available.
• Attend monthly team meetings.
• Collaborate with artistic leadership (Artistic Director, Education Manager, and Lead Coaches) to track student artistic process.
• Promptly answer emails from current clients, company faculty and leadership
• Update calendar availability on a bi-weekly basis using company online portal.
• Submit artistic material requests to Program Coordinator including: sheet music, plays, monologues, piano tracks, etc.
• Maintain professionalism and strict confidentiality with all materials, and exercise discretion when interfacing with the business.
• Participate in live prescreen recording sessions by providing moral support and artistic feedback.
• Provide feedback on student prescreen recordings to assist with final submission decision to colleges/universities.

Requirements

• Must be able to commit yourself to a young person’s artistic journey from college application to college acceptance. This is a long term commitment (approx. 9-12 months).
• Must possess a Master’s level degree in acting, dance, vocal performance, vocal pedagogy, etc. or Master’s level equivalent professional experience.
• Must have at least 10 coaching hours available a week between 10am and 8p ET for students to schedule coaching sessions. At least 8 of those available hours will need to be from 3p to 6p ET. NOTE: You may determine your hours within the preceding requirements.
• Ability and willingness to use and become proficient on the following platforms: Teachworks, Zoom, Gusto, Asana, Gmail, TikTok, Instagram, Microsoft Word, Excel)

• You are patient, level-headed and cool under pressure.
• You are passionate about acting and musical theatre (music, acting, dancing).
• You are motivated and believe in our mission in transforming young theatre makers into theatre majors.
• You thrive in a fast paced work environment.
• You enjoy spending time around high school and college age students, and sincerely care about their goals to study theatre at the collegiate level.
• You’re familiar with the college audition process for acting and musical theatre.

About the position

• Part-time hourly, $75-$85 per hour based on experience and time with the company.

• Must have at least 10 open hours per week between 10am and 8pm ET for students to schedule coaching sessions. At least 8 of those available hours should be from 3p to 6p ET. NOTE: You may determine your hours within the preceding requirements.

Salary

$75 - $100 per hour
