Rutgers University-Camden SASC seek multiple part -time positions for Theatre, Gallery and Event Staff. This position will assist the Department and the Production Manager (Technical Supervisor) with the construction of scenery and set design, setting up lights, sound equipment, props and special effects for productions, concerts, and events in theaters and exhibitions in the galleries, as well as front-of-house operations and audience support for the Department. Duties may vary dependent on specific role and department needs but may include the following tasks: – Set up and operation of lighting and/or sound equipment – Construction of scenery, props – Operation of special effects – Front of house operations and audience support Qualified candidates will have live technical theater and stagehand experience, or experience with audience development and front-of-house operations. Lead positions in audio, lighting, video, stage management and scenic carpentry are available.

A range of $15.92/hour - $30/hour.

A master’s degree in a specialized discipline may be required, particularly in research, project management or managerial positions. Also requires a minimum of five years experience and/or increasing functional responsibility in a leadership/managerial role.
