Job summary

Hennepin Arts in Minneapolis is seeking a Maintenance Manager to oversee daily cleaning, maintenance, and readiness of theatres and event spaces. The role balances day porter tasks, light maintenance, and administrative coordination with the Director of Facilities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in facilities management, business administration, or a related field desired.
• Minimum of five (5) years of custodial or facilities management experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Evening, weekend, holiday, and event availability.

Responsibilities

• Day Porter and Venue Care: routine cleaning, weekly walkthroughs, restrooms and common areas maintenance, assist event prep, coordinate with contracted teams.
• Light Maintenance and Facility Support: basic repairs, routine walkthroughs, lighting and asset maintenance, painting, and signage upkeep.
• Administrative and Operational Coordination: schedule coordination, inventory management, budgeting support, and work order tracking.
• Supervision and Training: recruit/train staff, ensure coverage, and coordinate with contractors for events.
