Job summary

Theatre Instructor position at Gurnee Park District plans and teaches youth and adult theatre programs, under supervision. This part-time role includes evening and weekend classes, with sessions ranging 3–15 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and youth in theatre or related fields.
• Ability to plan, lead and adapt theatre classes and workshops.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan programs, events, schedules and curricula for classes.
• Teach theatre classes and assist with productions.
• Communicate with parents, students and coordinators in a timely manner.
• Maintain safe, engaging class environments and complete required forms.
