Job summary

Swift Creek Mill Theatre in Chester, Virginia seeks a Development Manager to lead the organisation's first structured Annual Fund and build a diversified fundraising program. This hands-on role focuses on research and donor relationships, working closely with the Managing Director and Artistic Director.

You will identify prospects, design giving campaigns, prepare proposals, and manage grants and donor communications to grow giving from individuals and businesses.

Responsibilities

• Prospect research and pipeline development, building a donor pipeline and managing gifts.
• Annual Fund for corporations and businesses, sponsorships, and donor benefits.
• Prepare proposals, case statements, sponsorship decks and reports.
• Grants & institutional giving management: calendars, applications and reporting.
• Support Managing Director and wider program; engage board and donors.
• Coordinate with Artistic Director to integrate fundraising with artistic programs.
