Job summary

TheatreSquared seeks an experienced Grants Manager to lead and grow its grants program within a high-impact regional theatre. Reporting to the Director of Development, you will identify opportunities, craft proposals, manage reporting, and steward funders as part of the organization’s long-term sustainability.

You will work closely with the Development team and executive leadership to align funding with TheatreSquared's mission, collaborate across departments, and support donor relations,

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of grant writing, grants management, or nonprofit fundraising.
• Experience managing the full lifecycle of grants including prospect research, proposals, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and stewardship.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication with funders and stakeholders.
• Strong organizational and project management skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience cultivating relationships with foundations, corporate partners, government agencies, donors, and community stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams; strategic funding thinking.
• Familiarity with fundraising software and donor management systems; Tessitura or Spektrix preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage TheatreSquared's comprehensive grants program, including strategy, proposal development, grant writing, submission, reporting, and stewardship.
• Prepare compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry, budgets, and supporting documents for foundations, corporations, and government agencies.
• Support major gifts by researching prospects, coordinating cultivation steps, and aiding in donor communications.
• Collaborate with Finance, Marketing, and leadership to gather information, develop grant budgets, and report impact to funders.
• Maintain grant records, reporting schedules, and donor information within fundraising systems.
• Assist with donor communications, events, and other development priorities.
