Job summary

ATG Entertainment is seeking a Theatre Coordinator for the Walter Kerr Theatre in Midtown Manhattan. You will report to the General Manager and work with the Deputy General Manager, Customer Experience Manager, Box Office, and House Heads to ensure smooth operations.

The role requires vaccination, in-person scheduling, and a proactive, detail-oriented professional with a background in administrative support and arts or live entertainment preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or commensurate experience in an administrative capacity.
• Excellent computer and digital media design skills: Canva or Adobe Creative Cloud, Microsoft Office Suite, Social Media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
• Excellent personal communications skills with demonstrated ability to support a dynamic Team.
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, solve problems quickly and work well under pressure.
• Detail-oriented, able to handle several tasks simultaneously.
• Experience working in the Arts or Live Entertainment a plus.
• Experience managing and overseeing an Office a plus.

• Maintain and promote the Walter Kerr’s people-focused Culture of Hospitality.
• Assist Management with onboarding of new Staff.
• Assist Management with Scheduling of certain Departments / Staff.
• Assist with various daily Administrative tasks, special events and projects.
• Assist Management with Signage needs.
• Handle ordering of Office & Theatre supplies.
• Handle Invoice processing.
• Run point on Lost & Found inquiries.
• Maintain the Walter Kerr Theatre’s presence on Social Media.
• Coordinate Community engagement initiatives.
• Maintain a current knowledge of the Broadway Industry.

POSITION: Theatre Coordinator

LOCATION: Walter Kerr Theatre, New York, NY

HOURS: FULL TIME, in person, Some evenings, weekends & holidays

ABOUT THE POSITION

Built in 1921, the Walter Kerr Theatre is one of the most intimate Theatres on Broadway, and the smallest in the ATGE Portfolio in New York. The Theatre has a long history of being home to Award winning Productions, including the original ANGELS IN AMERICA, DOUBT, PROOF, TAKE ME OUT, GREY GARDENS, SPRINGSTEEN ON BROADWAY, and currently, HADESTOWN.

• Theatre Coordinator will work out of the Walter Kerr Theatre in Midtown Manhattan, NYC.
• Theatre Coordinator reports directly to the General Manager of the Walter Kerr Theatre and works closely with the Deputy General Manager, Customer Experience Manager, the Box Office, the Stage Door, the venue’s House Heads, and occasionally with the ATGE Corporate Team.
• COVID-19 Vaccination & a commitment to COVID-safe practices are required.
