The position reports to the Principal and may supervise teacher assistants.

Qualifications

• Degree in education or related area that qualifies for NC DPI licensure.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and present instruction and learning environments that support student development.
• Establish rules for behavior, monitor student performance and classroom conduct.
• Present lessons with clear objectives, engaging examples and appropriate pacing.
• Provide feedback on in-class work and monitor student progress.
• Perform non-instructional duties and participate in ongoing professional development.
