You will assist groups in safe set construction and act as a back-of-house liaison between clients and staff, while maintaining inventories and generating reports.

in and around the Irving Arts Center; planning stage activities for crew call; overseeing operation and maintenance of all theater related equipment, and digital and analog systems; offering assistance and instruction to user groups in proper and safe construction of sets and scenery; serving as back of house liaison between clients and front of house event staff; maintaining inventory and other records; generating various reports; and utilizing event management software to record all necessary event information. Duties will require strong computer and network skills, a high level of self-motivation and superior organizational skills; and typically will require working at heights of up to 80’ and lifting up to 75 pounds. A high school diploma or equivalent and two years of theater production or other relevant experience required; some college or additional specialized training in theater arts beneficial. Must have knowledge of theatrical lighting, audio, rigging / counterweight systems, basic carpentry and scenic construction. ETCP theatrical rigger or entertainment electrician certification preferred. Work schedule will vary, based on event schedules. Must be available to work as needed.
