Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for the Theater Technician II Crew Lead located at Irving, TX. The Crew Lead will oversee backstage operations and lead a team of technicians for theater productions, ensuring smooth and safe technical support for performances and events. Responsibilities include setting up and operating lighting, sound, and stage equipment; supervising crew members; coordinating with various departments; handling routine maintenance of theater equipment; and assisting in the planning and technical preparation for upcoming events. Additionally, the role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations and providing training to crew staff as needed.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in lighting systems, sound systems, and stage equipment, including setup, operation, and basic troubleshooting
  • Leadership and supervisory skills to guide and manage a team of technicians during events and productions
  • Strong collaboration skills to work with various departments and effectively communicate technical needs
  • Experience with equipment maintenance and ensuring compliance with relevant safety protocols and standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, on-site environment with strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Prior experience in a technical theater or event production environment is preferred
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event schedules
  • Bachelor’s degree in Theater Production or a related field is a plus but not required
