Job summary

Rockwood R-6 School District Community Ed in Ellisville, Missouri is seeking a Theater Technician to set up and operate lighting, sound, and rigging for district events.

Schedule varies for events across schools and community programs; position is temporary with immediate start; must lift 20 pounds and work with custodial staff. The role supports student activities, performances, and community productions in multiple venues.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic knowledge of use and operation of theatrical lighting, sound, and rigging systems.
• Reliable transportation to and from various events.
• Operation of theatrical sound & lighting consoles.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate theatrical lighting, sound, and rigging equipment.
• Clean and return Rockwood spaces to original condition when event is finished.
• Work with custodial department at designated location to ensure space is locked up and secure.
• Supervise group using Rockwood facilities when a Rockwood staff member or Theater Manager is not present.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Theater Manager.
