Job summary

Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) seeks a Technical and Production Lead for Atlanta spaces to ensure sound, lighting, video, staging, and other theater equipment are operational for special events and initiatives.

Install, operate, and de-install technology across SCADshow, SCAD COURT, FORTY, and SCAD FASH venues, while maintaining equipment and presenting proposals. Bachelor’s degree and live-event experience required; evening/weekend availability expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field with at least two years of live-event production experience.
  • Experience with ETC lighting control systems, rigging, and digital audio consoles.
  • Knowledge of theater tech equipment and processes; PC/Windows software familiarity.
  • Ability to lift more than 50 lbs and work nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Install, operate, and de-install technology for events in collaboration with internal departments.
  • Ensure compliance with venue, SCAD, and industry standards across productions.
  • Act as technical representative for SCADshow, SCAD COURT, and FORTY at meetings.
  • Complete regular inventory and maintenance of equipment across locations.
  • Support SCAD TVfest, SCAD AnimationFest, and other festivals with technical operations.
