Job summary

Assemble Cinemas in Manhasset, NY seeks a Part-Time Shift Lead to guide ushers and concessions staff, ensuring service and presentation standards are met. This working lead role performs front-of-house duties, directs peers, and keeps shows running on schedule.

The position requires evening, weekend, and holiday availability; prior supervisory experience is strongly preferred and participation in cash handling and POS is expected.

Qualifications

• Supervisory or lead experience in theaters, restaurants, retail, or hospitality.
• Guest-first attitude with ability to direct peers by example.
• Ability to handle cash accurately and operate POS systems.
• Evening, weekend and holiday availability required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the front-of-house team during shifts, directing breaks and turnover.
• Perform usher and concessions duties alongside the team, including POS.
• Ensure auditoriums are cleaned between shows and concession area is maintained.
• Address guest questions and escalate to the manager on duty as needed.
• Assist with cash drawer setup, counts, and end-of-shift reconciliation.
• Provide basic projection operation support and monitor presentation quality.
• Open or close the theater following checklists and security procedures.
• Communicate staffing, facility, and equipment issues to management.
