Job summary

Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Theater Facilities Technician to manage theater spaces, assist with event setup and strike, and keep backstage areas organized. The role supports the Theater staff in productions and events, ensuring a welcoming environment for attendees and speakers alike.

The position requires full-time hours, physical ability to lift up to 55 lbs, and a commitment to serving in a faith-based community. Evening or weekend work may be required for special events.

Qualifications

• Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs.
• Experience in theater or event setup preferred.
• Passion to assist with church events and theatrical productions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain organization of storage areas in Theater, Costume Closet and Props.
• Walk Theater spaces before/after events to remove trash and debris.
• Maintain a safe environment in the Theater at all times.
• Set up and strike for events (conferences, worship events, concerts, plays).
• Assist Box Office with lobby appearance and concessions setup/strike.
• Keep theater house and backstage areas clean and orderly.
