Job summary

Waverly Community Schools is seeking an Auditorium, Theater and Events Manager to oversee safe operation of theater equipment and facilities in the High School and Middle School theaters. The role includes coordinating productions, managing rentals, and supporting district theater programs with a 40-hour weekly schedule including evenings and weekends.

The ideal candidate will have a theatre degree, at least one year in theatre operations and supervisory experience, and strong communication

Qualifications

  • Degree in Theatre or a related field.
  • Minimum of one year’s experience in theatre operations, production, or facility management.
  • Minimum of one year of supervisory or related experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and human relations skills.
  • Knowledge of theatre safety, district policies, and facility use procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, follow, and enforce safety procedures for theater equipment and facilities.
  • Coordinate technical and operational needs for HS theatre productions.
  • Manage theatre rentals and general public use of district facilities.
  • Support HS, MS, and Elementary theatre programming and events.
  • Schedule and supervise theater events, staff, and crews; ensure background checks and clearances.
