Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's Degree in education from a regionally accredited college or university.
• Two years teaching experience required.
• Eligible for Maryland educator certificate/license.
• Knowledge of diverse learning needs and classroom management.

Responsibilities

• Attends staff/faculty meetings and helps plan instructional goals and methods.
• Evaluates student progress using assessments and records results.
• Maintains classroom order and safety and protects students and property.
• Uses instructional strategies (lectures, discussions, modeling, multimedia) to reach learners.
• Counsels students on progress and conferences with parents/students as needed.
• Maintains records and reflects on teaching effectiveness to improve instruction.
