Job summary

Anne Arundel County Public Schools seeks a Magnet Program Teacher for Apex Arts (Film & New Media) to deliver engaging classroom instruction across magnet pathways. You will plan lessons, assess student progress, and collaborate with staff to meet program goals in a dynamic, diverse setting.

Role requires working with families, participating in magnet events, and supporting students’ intellectual and creative growth through project-based learning aligned with magnet philosophies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in related field of education from a regionally accredited college or university required.
• Two years teaching experience required; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Hold or be eligible for educator certificate/license issued by Maryland MSDE.

Responsibilities

• Plans and delivers instructional goals, objectives and methods aligned with the School Improvement Plan.
• Evaluates student progress using appropriate assessments and records results.
• Maintains order and discipline in the classroom and ensures safety.
• Selects instructional strategies to engage students and support diverse learners.
• Counsels students and communicates with parents regarding progress and concerns.
