Responsibilities

• Read recipes and prepare products promptly using various kitchen equipment.
• Follow the daily prep sheet and build-to-par standards.
• Store food properly, label, cover, and date items in the walk-in cooler.
• Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing prep areas, equipment, walls, and floors.
• Assist in controlling food costs and managing inventory.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and kitchen protocols.
• Ensure personal hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
• Use FIFO principles for inventory rotation.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely per MSDS guidelines.
• Promote teamwork and uphold quality standards.
• Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment.
• Perform delegated tasks, including assisting in other kitchen areas and cleaning duties.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of meal preparation, cooking, and service.
• Understanding of sanitation and safety standards.
• Ability to operate knives, slicing, and food prep equipment safely.
• Physical ability to reach, bend, lift up to 50 pounds, and stand for extended periods.
• Basic reading, writing, math, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively with team members.
