Responsibilities

• Read recipes and produce menu items promptly using various kitchen equipment.
• Follow the daily prep sheet.
• Adhere to build-to pars and complete production on time.
• Place prepared products in hot wells.
• Store all food items properly, labeled, covered, and dated in the walk-in cooler.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the prep area, equipment, walls, and floors.
• Assist in controlling food costs through inventory awareness.
• Follow safety, sanitation, and back-door protocols.
• Maintain personal hygiene and kitchen cleanliness.
• Use FIFO for inventory rotation.
• Handle cleaning chemicals safely as per MSDS guidelines.
• Promote teamwork at all times.
• Ensure high standards of quality, freshness, and presentation.
• Keep kitchen surroundings clean and compliant with health regulations.
• Perform delegated tasks such as assisting in other kitchen areas, cleaning, organizing storage, etc.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of meal preparation, sanitation, and safety standards.
• Ability to operate knives and food prep equipment safely.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive movements.
• Basic reading, writing, math, and communication skills.
• Must be 18 or older and able to work well with team members.
