Job summary

AC Hotel Dayton, part of Shaner Hotels, invites applicants for a server position in Dayton, OH. The role includes taking orders, serving food and beverages to guests, and handling payments, with emphasis on hospitality and guest satisfaction.

Qualified candidates should have at least one year of public-facing experience, be 21+ to serve alcohol, and possess HS diploma or equivalent; ServSafe and TIPS training are a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent, some college preferred.
• ServSafe and/or food safety training.
• Alcohol awareness training (such as TIPS).
• Bilingual English/Spanish a plus.
• Knowledge of local activities and attractions appropriate for clientele.

Responsibilities

• Take food and beverage orders, retrieve and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and food orders to guest tables according to hotel specifications.
• Collect payments.
• Assist in the maintenance of the restaurant area and equipment.
• Communicate with General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff.

• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
• Ensures compliance with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Food and Beverage Department.
• Maintains food and beverage safety and quality based on hotel, Shaner, and Franchise specifications.
• Ensures communication with General Manager, all other Department Managers, Supervisors and Staff.
• Other duties as assigned.
