Position Summary

The employee in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both internal and external guests. Serves food and beverages in a friendly and professional manner.

Responsibilities
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provides superior guest service, positively affects interactions with guests and team members, and has the resilience to deal with difficult guests in all types of business conditions and the ability to work effectively and courteously with fellow team members.
  • Extensive knowledge of menu and any specials.
  • Responsible for taking orders, delivery of food and beverage items to guests while adhering to service standards of being accommodating, accurate and attentive.
  • Assists in pre-bussing and bussing of tables to include dirty dishes and linens.
  • Be a customer experience owner, act in ways that will surprise and delight our guests. Leave guests with positive feelings about our property and establish/maintain relationships with them. Approach each situation with a “yes we can” attitude, every guest every time.
  • Must wear black, slip resistant shoes at all times. Clean and professional appearance.
  • Responsible for acknowledging customers in a friendly/timely manner and addressing them by name
  • Responsible for maintaining clean and organized side station.
  • Ability to recognize an intoxicated guest and handle according to company/state rules and regulations.
  • Knowledge and demonstration of work place safety procedures Completes all company-required training within designated time frames.
  • Comply with our drug/alcohol free workplace. Subject to post offer, for cause/post-accident drug tests.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions/Essential Functions
  • Ability to use all equipment associated with the position including, but not limited to, cash register systems, telephone and cleaning equipment.
  • Ability to work in a restaurant environment exposed to smoke and varied levels of noise.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external guests
  • Walking/Standing 100% of which Bending/Lifting 12% up to 50lbs, Pushing/Pulling 5%
  • Ability to climb a stepladder and retrieve boxes overhead up to 30lbs in a safe manner.
  • Ability to be at work on time as scheduled which may include nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Report to work in a neat and clean uniform, with slip resistant shoes. Well-groomed hair and personal hygiene are essential.
Qualifications

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
  • One year of food & beverage serving experience preferred.
