Job summary

SMS Clean is seeking a service-focused cleaner to maintain the appearance of premises across commercial settings. The role requires routine cleaning of rooms, lobbies, restrooms, and corridors, plus polishing and trash removal. You will work 1st Shift and follow standard safety practices in a fast-paced environment.

No prior experience is required, and basic English communication is necessary to read instructions and interact with staff. A benefits package and ongoing opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers and employees in English.

Responsibilities

• Takes care of cleaning and polishing lighting fixtures, marble surfaces, and trim.
• Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, elevators, stairs, and locker rooms.
• Sweeps, scrubs, finishes, and polishes floors.
• cleans rugs, carpets, upholstered furniture, and draperies.
• Dusts furniture and equipment.
• Polishes metalwork.
• Washes walls, ceilings, and woodwork.
• Washes windows, door panels, and sills.
• Empties wastebaskets, empties and cleans ashtrays; transports trash to disposal area.
