Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Schedule predetermined work activities of Transmission field personnel
  • Collect data, perform data entry, and maintain front-end-loaded and completed resource-loaded schedules
  • Develop integrated resource-loaded and levelized TFS work schedules optimizing maintenance plans, capital outage work, and other TFS activities
  • Complete and submit TFS outage requests and enter outages into iTOA/OSI, TOA, or successor databases
  • Verify required outages have been entered
  • Participate in project, outage, construction, maintenance, operations, commissioning, and departmental coordination meetings
  • Organize, coordinate, and attend supporting-area outage coordination meetings
  • Assist with schedule changes when outages are canceled or rescheduled
  • Assist with developing, reviewing, and presenting statistical reports on scheduling, adherence, crew utilization, KPIs, metrics, and progress
  • Apply planning and scheduling techniques and approved scheduling software and tools
  • Perform duties safely and complete other assigned duties

Job description

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field such as Engineering, Engineering Technology, Construction Management or related field, or Associate's degree in a related technical field, or high school diploma/GED with vocational training and relevant utility field experience
  • For Associate level: 4 years' utility field experience may substitute within the listed tier; Business bachelor's degree accepted with at least 2 years of relevant scheduling or utility experience
  • For SG 06: Bachelor's degree plus 1 year experience, Associate's degree plus 3 years' utility experience, or high school diploma plus 6 years' utility field experience
  • For SG 07: Bachelor's degree plus 4 years' related experience, Associate's degree plus 5 years' related experience, or high school diploma/GED plus 8 years' related experience
  • Utility field, maintenance work scheduling, construction project scheduling, project controls, transmission/distribution, station, P&C, engineering, or dispatch experience
  • Basic working knowledge of MS Office Tools and MS SharePoint; proficiency required for higher grades
  • Experience with IPS, IBM Cognos, Primavera, and PowerBI preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, one-line station diagrams, and transmission line switching diagrams
  • Understanding of switching, tagging, clearance points, zones of protection, and AEP protection schemes
  • Ability to estimate resource requirements for construction and maintenance projects
  • Ability to solicit information by phone and email and develop KPI, metrics, statistical, and progress reports
  • Some travel required
  • Must possess and maintain a valid state driver's license
  • Effective communication, organization, prioritization, teamwork, and ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Compliance with company safety policies, Outage Coordination Procedure, and RTO guidelines
