Job summary

American Electric Power in the United States is seeking an entry-level TFS Work Management Coordinator to support scheduling activities for transmission field personnel. You will assist in collecting data, entering information, and maintaining front-end and loaded schedules that optimize maintenance and capital work plans.

The role involves learning scheduling software, participating in outage coordination, and collaborating with multiple teams to ensure timely, safe execution of work activities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related technical field or Associate's degree in Engineering/Construction/related field or equivalent experience (4 years utility field)
• 2+ years of maintenance/work scheduling or project scheduling in utility sector preferred
• Basic MS Office and SharePoint knowledge; ability to read electrical schematics; valid driver's license; some travel required

Responsibilities

• Develop integrated resource-loaded and levelized TFS work schedules to optimize maintenance and outages
• Comply with Outage Coordination Procedures and RTO guidelines
• Participate in meetings with project, outage, construction, maintenance, operations, and commissioning groups
• Assist with TFS outage requests and enter outages into TOA or successor database
• Coordinate and attend outage coordination meetings
• Assist in changes to schedules when outages are canceled or rescheduled
• Develop and present statistical reports on scheduling; crew utilization and adherence
• Collaborate with other sections/departments on scheduling, staffing, and outages
• Promote professionalism, safety, culture and effective communication
