Job summary

American Electric Power seeks a transportation and logistics professional to provide comprehensive coordination for the Transmission Field Services organization. You will oversee transportation needs for transmission station and line material, delivering cost effective solutions and keeping customers and suppliers informed of delivery changes.

You will develop and monitor strategic plans, manage centralized hauling, analyze material flows, and work with internal teams to meet on-time delivery

Qualifications

• Associate degree required; strong written and oral communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to work in a team and coordinate multiple activities.
• Analytical and organizational abilities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor a strategic transportation and logistics plan to identify savings and improve service.
• Manage centralized hauling processes and coordinate internal/external hauling guidance.
• Analyze inbound and outbound material flows for optimization.
• Manage outsource hauling work authorizations and resolve issues.
• Monitor contractor service levels and prepare scorecards.
• Identify new hauling options and communicate them to stakeholders.
• Establish uniform claim procedures and assist with hauling claim resolution.
