Job summary

The Associate I, Textiles Production at Goodwill of Colorado will primarily work in a production environment sorting, hanging, pricing, and tagging donated textiles while following company quality standards to determine which items will be placed on the sales floor to be sold.

The Associate may occasionally be in contact with customers and expected to be responsive in communication and provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of retail experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to make decisions.
• Ability to use basic technologies to follow company standards.
• Ability to assess quality and value of textile products and pricing, researching value as necessary.
• Must be able to use a dolly and pallet jack as required.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays with occasional overtime.
• Must communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.

Responsibilities

• Sort donated textiles by season, color, and quality of product.
• Inspect textiles to ensure saleable condition (buttons, zippers, etc.).
• Hang, size, price, tag, and prepare textile items to be sold by loading them on Z-racks.
• Price items according to Goodwill standards and research item value as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service to staff and customers.
• Follow all retail center policies and safety procedures.
• Cross-train in other departments as required.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Job duties may extend beyond listed tasks.
