Job summary

Goodwill of Colorado is seeking an Associate I, Textiles Production to sort donated textiles by season, color, and quality, and to hang, price, tag, and prepare items for the sales floor according to quality standards.

The Associate may occasionally interact with customers and is expected to provide excellent service, communicate clearly with staff, and follow all safety procedures; weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of retail experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and ability to make decisions.
• Ability to use basic technologies to follow company standards.
• Ability to assess quality and value of textile product and pricing research as needed.
• Must be able to work a varied schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays with occasional overtime.
• Must be able to communicate effectively with customers, managers, supervisors, staff, and peers.

Responsibilities

• Sort donated textiles by season, color, and quality of product.
• Inspect textiles to ensure the product is in good saleable condition (buttons, zippers, etc.).
• Hang, size and price, tag, and prepare textile items to be sold by loading them on Z-racks.
• Make decisions to price according to Goodwill standards of quality and value of the product; may include online research.
• Provide excellent customer service to fellow staff and customers; answer product questions as needed.
• Follow all retail center policies and procedures; follow safety processes.
• Cross-train as needed in other departments and areas when required.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area to provide a safe and efficient workflow.
• Job duties may extend beyond the tasks listed and may include additional responsibilities as required.
