Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is hiring a Counter-Sorter to open bags of soiled textiles, sort by type, size and color, and accurately count textiles for transfer into sorting systems. You will identify damaged items and ensure proper recording in the sorting systems, while following safety standards and PPE policies.

The role requires flexibility to perform various tasks within the production team and to work in an industrial laundry environment.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and handle textiles
• Flexible to perform different tasks as needed
• Team player with ability to work in production environment

Responsibilities

• Open bag of soiled textiles and sort by type, size, and color
• Count textiles manually or electronically and transfer into sorting systems
• Identify damaged or abused textiles and record into sorting systems
• Comply with efficiency and safety standards for the position
• Follow PPE policies and procedures
• Work effectively in a team environment
