Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Counter-Sorter to handle soiled textiles, performing sorting by type, size and color while counting items and recording data in sorting systems. You will identify damaged textiles and ensure safe, efficient operation under supervision of the Production Manager.

Work involves standing, bending, and lifting up to 50 pounds in a busy industrial laundry setting, with opportunities to contribute to production flow and team tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to count and sort textiles accurately in a production setting.
• Comfort with manual tasks and repetitive motions.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Open bag of soiled textiles, then sort them by type, size and color.
• Count textiles manually or electronically and transfer them into sorting systems.
• Identify damaged or abused textiles and record into sorting systems.
• Comply with Spindle Job Classification efficiency and safety standards for the position.
• Follow policy and procedures related to wearing assigned Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Will function in a team environment.
