Job summary

Alsco Uniforms is seeking a Counter-Sorter to sort and count incoming soiled textiles, identify damaged items, and record data into sorting systems. You will follow PPE policies and work within a team to maintain production flow.

The role involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and performing manual and electronic counting in an industrial laundry setting. Training and safety procedures are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Standing and walking for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in an industrial laundry environment with exposure to dust, humidity, and odors.

Responsibilities

• Open bag of soiled textiles, then sort them by type, size and color.
• Count textiles manually or electronically and transfer them into sorting systems.
• Identify damaged or abused textiles and record into sorting systems.
• Comply with safety standards and PPE requirements.
• Work effectively in a team environment.
